Born in London and raised in New Castle, singer Anna Ross has recently released her album titled New Day. She has toured as a backing vocalist for high caliber artists such as Lisa Stansfield, Stereophonics, Tom Jones and Tina Turner. Ross has gained recognition through her four world tours with 1980's pop icons Duran Duran. Working with Duran Duran has taken her career to new heights playing Lollapalooza, Coachella, and the opening of the Olympics.
Mixing elements of electronic, soul, r&b, and pop, Anna Ross creates a world of hope with the first single off the album, First Day. She reminds her audience to keep going and not let life bring you down. "The more you risk and the more you try, and the more you have and the more you cry....... this moment's got your name on it" she sings.
Duran Duran's influence on the album is difficult to ignore. Three songs off the album were co-written by Duran Duran's vocalist/songwriter Simon Le Bon, along with other band members directing music videos and remixing songs.
