Chrystyna Marie is a singer songwriter out of Los Angeles, California whose story is full of triumph a resilience. Her newest album, LIFE is a self-produced collection of personal songs. Marie worked construction for three years while living in the fields of North Dakota in order to fund the production and release of her new album. After being represented by several labels throughout her career, Marie decided this was the only way to create the genuine music she envisioned. "I wanted to create music from personal experiences and true emotions, something the everyday person can relate to and build strength from having been exposed to it, with a raw and gritty feel to emulate these experiences and emotions," says Marie. Chrystyna Marie was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Throughout her career. she has racked up a long list of appearances in small acting roles in music videos and television. But her passion has always been in writing and releasing her own music.
LIFE combines elements of country, soul, and rock-n-roll. Marie's flair for the dark side amplifies the drama of this record, and the fuzzy, distorted guitar riffs amplify her love for the blues. Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out is a classic blues tune with reverb soaked guitar. The 6th track on the album titled A Woman Knows combines influences of soul and Motown and showcases Marie's voice.
